Font - matty_nice 5 hr. ago. edited 4 hr. ago Even given what you said, the company would still be able to fire him. The medical issue doesn't give him unlimited power or anything, and even with IBS he still has to do his job. That's not what a reasonable accommodation means. In reality, the company probably doesn't care enough. Edit: spelling 2.9k Reply Share

Font - HOY Tontie-knights. 4 hr. ago IBS is not considered a disability. I have IBS, my company is not required to make any accommodations for me, but I am lucky and my manager does so. 276 Reply

Font - Darkened Badger. 4 hr. ago It is not classified as a full disability but they are required to provide reasonable accommodations if it impacts your work life this is how it has been since 2010 in the US 235 Reply

Font - tuvar_hiede 4 hr. ago Good think H.R. is inept. They only have to provide "reasonable" accommodations so spending 3/4 of your time in would likely fall the outside of reasonable lol. 176 Reply Share

Font - JayTheWolf Dragon - 4 hr. ago Idk how some companies actually listen to the doctor's notes. I have very severe IBS and I provided a doctor's note to my work... and I still got in trouble constantly for using the bathroom too much and for too long (10min, not 6hrs 163 Reply Share
